The stand is able to fit my 5 pound 17inch laptop without any problems, as long as I adjust the center of gravity of the laptop and take precautions when pressing the power button near the top. The power button on my laptop is located near the hinge of the monitor; When pressed, i have to make sure to press it lightly (or hold the side of the laptop for balance if i want to press it harder) or it’ll make the stand wobble back-and-forth. but not make the laptop fall off the stand. Other than that, normal function on the keypad works fine.

I was having neck and shoulder problems. I finally realized the way I used my laptop was the problem. I would put my 13″ MacBook on my crossed legs (a good position for my hands to type) and angle my neck down to seen the screen. Not good to do for long periods of time! I’ve had this stand for almost a week and my neck and shoulders are doing much better. I just have to remember to use it.
